Description
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting a variety of company-wide projects and initiatives addressing regulatory compliance risks. Candidates should have a substantive experience working within a regulatory compliance function, along with some expertise in program development and implementation. Knowledge of compliance regulations is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently and manage deadlines, have strong research, communication and analytical skills, be thoughtful and strategic, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage compliance training and communications program, including creating and providing compliance trainings and communications to employees and other parties;
- Manage and update “Compliance and Integrity Portal”, which provides information on compliance resources and policies to all employees;
- Conduct compliance due diligence of potential M&A parties, suppliers, vendors and other third parties;
- Assist with the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures;
- Assist with compliance risk assessments and compliance reviews;
- Collaborate with other compliance team members to continue development of key aspects of the Global Compliance Program;
- Participate in the implementation of the Global Compliance Program throughout the company;
- Address questions and provide guidance to employees on compliance-related policies and procedures;
- Provide administrative support to the compliance team;
- Help monitor compliance with applicable policies and procedures;
- Support the Company’s adoption of tools and technologies that support the Global Compliance Program;
- Work collaboratively with other functions (e.g. HR, Audit and Finance) and other key stakeholders to appropriately document and respond to compliance issues and concerns;
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general compliance or legal operations
- Intermediate proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate level degree (Masters, MBA, JD) or Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 10 years work experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in general compliance, compliance operations or legal operations
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience leveraging software and technology to help enable compliance with applicable regulations and laws
- Strong program management experience
