The Annuities Product Pricing team is excited to post the Director, Actuary Annuities Pricing leadership role. The Annuity Pricing team is responsible for analyzing pricing strategies across the individual annuity suite of products, evaluating product management levers to achieve sales, capital and profit objectives, evaluating impacts from assumption updates, reporting profitability quarterly, and supporting financial forecasts. This position is for a creative, tech-forward individual to lead the team's pricing transformation initiatives. This person will develop a firm understanding of annuities key financial drivers enabling the team to bring deeper insights to our business partners.
This is a visible role, with opportunities to interact with senior leaders across the annuities business and to influence decision-making.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid or virtual and may require your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business, dependent on the candidate's location. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Revolutionizing the end-to-end pricing infrastructure through improvements to data management, insights generation, and communicating results.
Modernizing our profitability reporting through self-service, on-demand solutions, such as Power BI dashboards.
Leading quarterly new business profitability reporting across the business system.
Leading new business sales, capital, and profitability forecasts.
Supporting the team's transition to a single modeling platform and creating highly scalable analytical tools that can be used interchangeably across the entire product suite.
Supporting quantification of assumption unlock impacts to capital consumption and profitability.
Monitoring emerging profitability and reporting results to Finance and Business leaders.
What you'll need:
Actuarial designation (CERA, ASA, FSA) is required.
High-energy individual who brings positivity and optimism to their work.
Strong SQL, Python, and PBI skills preferred; or strong desire to learn.
Project management skills with proven ability to prioritize and lead execution of multiple tasks coupled with a high degree of curiosity on current processes and systems.
Continuous Improvement mindset with desire to inspire and lead team through change.
Passion for challenging status quo delivering creative yet practical solutions to complex problems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex technical subject matter to various audiences.

What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $164,700.00 to $222,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
