Financial Accountant opportunity within a business consultancy reporting directly to the CFO Your new company
Hays is partnering with a highly regarded business consultancy located on the CBD fringe to recruit a Financial Accountant.Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join their finance team in a full-time, permanent capacity, managing a diverse portfolio and contributing to the success of the business.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function for a portfolio of 3-4 entities. You will also have one person reporting to you.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate ledgers in Xero.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll, WIP management, and month-end journals.
• Handle financial reporting: monthly reports, cash flow maintenance, and annual working paper reconciliations.
• Reconcile loan accounts across group entities and close ledgers after billing finalisation.
• Provide AP reports, assist with debt collection queries, and respond to internal team enquiries.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a minimum of 5 years' experience and be CPA or CA qualified, or close to completion. Previous experience within a professional services or business consultancy environment will be highly regarded.
