Description

The Brattle Group, a privately held, global economics consulting firm, is looking for a Human Resources Compliance & Compensation Analyst to join our Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, San Francisco, CA, or Washington, DC office.  This position will act as a key resource providing support to the firm in the areas of compliance, compensation, benefits, and reporting.  This position reports to the Senior Manager of Compensation and Benefits and will work closely with legal, payroll and accounting staff.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working with benefits team leadership to ensure compliance of welfare and retirement benefit programs with relevant federal, state and foreign rules and regulations (e.g. ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA)
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of US welfare and retirement benefit programs and requirements; coordinating and distributing all required materials and communications, and partnering with U.S. vendors to complete necessary testing and filings
  • Supporting internal and external benefit plan and government agency audits and implements actions agreed upon in audit reports
  • Tracking, reporting, and monitoring compliance with leave programs, including FMLA and STD at a federal and state level
  • Providing support to the annual increase and bonus processes, assisting with reviewing job descriptions to confirm roles are classified appropriately and paid competitively, and conducting analysis, and researching market data to ensure compensation is aligned with company pay philosophy
  • Gathers metrics for DEI annual report, Benefits & Compensation quarterly reports and ad hoc reporting throughout the year
  • Depending on location, could serve as local support for Human Resources and employees in the office and remote support to other offices outside the US.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • 3-5 years experience in a benefits and/or compliance related position; experience in compensation administration/support is a plus
  • Experience with a full range of employee benefits plans with knowledge of benefit laws such as COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc. Experience with California specific leave laws and local compliance-related filings is strongly desired
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other similar HRIS or payroll applications
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; advanced Excel skills required
  • Excellent quantitative skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team as needed
  • Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to growing and changing environment
  • Ability to build rapport with team and internal clients, with strong focus on customer service
  • Evening/weekend work may be required
