Description

Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC is currently seeking an experienced labor and employment attorney. Qualified candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience, including drafting responsive pleadings, handling all aspects of the discovery process, drafting motions (including motions for summary judgment), depositions, and court appearances as well as experience with local, state, and federal agencies. Qualified candidates will also have some familiarity with traditional labor matters.

Attorney will have opportunity to work with clients, large and small, from a variety of industries across the country. Attorney may work from our offices in Winston-Salem, NC; Charleston, WV; Morgantown, WV; or Pittsburgh, PA; and will work at least part-time (hybrid / 3 days per week) in the office.

Qualified candidate must have an excellent academic record, a strong work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a team.  Must exercise superior judgment, possess excellent research and writing skills, have the ability to develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes, and effectively handle multiple projects.

Candidate must have active Bar license in one state, and be willing to become barred in North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Florida.
