Job Description Summary:
PayPal's Blockchain, Crypto and Digital Currencies (BCDC) business unit is focused on ensuring end-to-end management of PayPal's underlying product, technology infrastructure, partnerships and regulatory foundations for digital assets to help enable our support of existing capabilities and markets, as well as drive continued growth in the space.
Regulatory Compliance is foundational to enabling BCDC. This role will be part of PayPal's core compliance organization and ensure that we identify, partner, develop and deploy the products to ensure alignment with regulators in the nascent BCDC space. You will work with a globally distributed, diverse, cross-functional team to create a more accessible, efficient, and inclusive way to perform commerce.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in understanding the world of crypto/blockchain based actions (payments and beyond) and its impact to the world at large
- Map the intersection of blockchain/crypto to PayPal's ecosystem and specifically around Compliance
- Work cross-functionally with strategy, risk and compliance policy teams, various Inc brands to outline how to effectively grow the crypto ecosystem while ensuring end to end compliance
- Communicate and solve through ambiguity, being open to feedback while not being afraid to outline the best experience for the end-user
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in Product with experiences at early-stage startups / taking products from inception to launch.
- Experience in crafting user-first experiences for regulated products - e.g. payments, commerce, fintech
- Experience rolling out global products
- Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated out of the box thinking
- Experience with blockchain/crypto as an enthusiast
- Understanding of the regulatory compliance/ AML/internet security as a domain
