| Physical Requirements | Requires lifting, pushing or pulling of objects over 25 pounds; occasional animal handling (including carcasses); risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; exposure to temperature extremes, cuts/punctures, and bloodborne/airborne pathogens. |
| Shift | Primarily days (i.e. Monday Friday, 7a-3:30p) Please be aware that as an exempt position, job duties may occasionally require additional time in the evenings, nights, holidays and/or weekends to accomplish work goals in excess of 40 hours per week. |
| Job Summary | The Manager, DLAR Training and Compliance is responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and safe operation of all DLAR facilities. This position oversees facility compliance, operational planning, staff training, equipment management, and data reporting to support the highest standards of animal welfare, research support, and regulatory integrity. The incumbent provides leadership in developing and maintaining SOPs, implementing efficiency strategies, and ensuring staff are properly trained in all aspects of animal care and facility operations. |
