The Sr. HR Compliance Analyst will be responsible for leading and overseeing various compliance initiatives within the organization with focus on immigration, I-9 compliance as well as pre-employment screening adjudications.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. HR Compliance Analyst will be responsible for leading and overseeing various compliance initiatives within the organization with focus on immigration, I-9 compliance as well as pre-employment screening adjudications. This position oversees various audit activities including HR internal controls (HRICS) and the annual DC annual audit under manager's guidance. The Sr. HR Compliance Specialist will also effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to align projects and communications related to HR Compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the compliance department in understanding and driving the organization's human resource compliance strategy particularly as it relates to current and future federal, state and local compliance requirements.
- Oversees DHL eCommerce's immigration lifecycle, including visa applications, sponsorships, and I-9 compliance, in coordination with external immigration providers.
- Maintains immigration policy documents, communications for talent acquisition and managers to ensure compliance.
- Develops, analyzes and communicates the leave management process FMLA, ADA and STD providing guidance on company policy and state law requirements.
- Develops, analyzes and communicates reports and compliance for meal and rest break in association with state laws to HR operations team.
- Oversees the pre-employment background adjudications for all positions, leading compliance with all federal and state laws across the mainland 48 states.
- Manages all I-9 and E-Verify related functions including audit, training, reverification, and ensuring compliance in accordance with corporate guidelines and federal requirements.
- Plans and organizes audit activities for HR internal controls (HRICS) to ensure compliance with HRICS standards through audits, policy reviews and supporting with stakeholder interviews.
- Manages bi-annual distribution center HR compliance audits including remediation follow-up.
- Maintains the HR compliance resource page (HR As One) with compliance related topics including policies, forms, state notices, letters, among others.
- Administers and maintains employment and company compliance posters for all locations related company locations.
- Responsible for developing and delivering compliance-related trainings to current and newly placed HRBP's.
- Researches federal and state legislative changes that may affect existing HR policies and maintains the compliance grid for all locations to ensure alignment with state‑specific requirements.
- Maintains and updates ongoing 50 state survey for key compliance topics such as marijuana laws, background laws, gun signage, employee notice, etc.
- Gathers, extracts, manipulates, analyzes, and models data using Excel and other tools as available.
- Documents and articulates the steps taken when analyzing data.
- Proactively identifies and solves problems and recommends solutions to improve results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, related field or equivalent experience in HR and relevant compliance topics excluding payroll.
- 5-7 years of experience with HR compliance topics.
- 3 years of I-9 and E-Verify management with emphasis on reverification.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Experience with adjudication of background checks for a multi-state organization.
- Proven track record managing US immigration programs and ability to work with third party legal vendors.
- Data driven with a demonstratable ability to derive insights, establish metrics, assess and report against critical KPI's.
- Excellent time management skills such as prioritizing, organizing, for multiple projects and tasks with varying completion dates.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to develop clear a clear concise message.
- Self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required with attention to v-lookup and pivot tables.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint.

- Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
- Regular sitting at workstation for 25 75% of the work shift.
