Summary The Cost Accountant supports manufacturing operations through accurate product costing, operational reporting, and ERP data integrity. This role works closely with Operations and Finance to analyze costs, maintain BOMs and routings, and support month-end close activities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain and analyze standard and actual manufacturing costs
Review and update Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings
Prepare variance reporting for operations (material, labor, overhead)
Support inventory valuation, WIP analysis, and month-end close
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Inventory reconciliations and roll forward
Ensure accuracy of cost and inventory data in the ERP system
Partner with Operations to analyze production efficiency and cost drivers
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum of 3–5 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
Strong experience with BOMs, routings, and operations reporting
Hands-on experience with a major ERP system (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite Dynamics 365.)
Excellent Excel and analytical skills
On-site availability required
Travel 5%
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills Excellent Excel and analytical skills
