Role Summary
The Regulatory Compliance Safety Analyst is and individual contributor responsible for the collection, management, analysis, and presentation of compliance, safety and audit data supporting the Flight Operations Safety Management System (SMS).
Key Duties

Take initiative to develop solutions to collect, organize, analyze and present compliance, safety and audit data using quantitative tools for the Flight Operations Data Analysis Group (DAG) monthly meetings and the monthly Safety Review Board (SRB).

Collaborates with the SMS Program Manager in facilitating and reviewing performance of Safety Risk Management (SRM) and Safety Assessment (SA) processes for the Flight Operations DAG and SRB.

Manages data collection, categorization, analysis and reporting using descriptive statistics to monitor performance and identify significant operational trends regarding Flight Operations Irregularity, Fatigue, and FAR 117 reports from Pilots, Dispatchers, and Crew Schedulers.

With limited direction from manager, works independently to support Flight Operations department investigations regarding noncompliance to develop effective corrective actions using FAA tools and programs designed to address noncompliance.

Supports Flight Operations audits of operational processes including development of written reports identifying audit findings and observations.
Requirements
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
-
2 years of experience in data analysis, descriptive statistics or related area.

Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or in a related area or an additional 2 years of training/experience.

Proven experience in data collection and analysis.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Tableau).

Minimum age of 18.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
-
Pilot or Dispatch Certificate.

SMS training.

Experience with descriptive statistics and the ability to apply this knowledge to analyze operational data and identify trends.

Ability to work with cross-divisional teams.

Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).

Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of FAA regulatory oversight process.
