This Senior Security Analyst role will be an integral member of our Cybersecurity Team.

Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, the primary responsibilities of this position center on performing firm-wide risk assessments, ensuring compliance with various regulations and ensuring the proper storage, security, and destruction of our data. This position will also be the project manager for the cybersecurity team and provide expertise and leadership in planning, design, development, and successful launches of security-related solutions.

Your role.

The primary responsibilities for this role are:

  • Conduct annual risk assessments for the Firm and assist internal business units in the completion of their risk assessments.
  • Communicate identified risks to appropriate team and manage until risk is reduced to an acceptable level.
  • Continuously evaluate and & recommend security controls to improve existing programs, practices and technologies to align with the firm's risk appetite and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Stay current on security regulations and determine which apply to Plante Moran.
  • Perform internal assessments using GRC tool to ensure compliance to regulations.
  • Develop compliance metrics and performance dashboards for regular reporting performance and compliance status and performance.
  • Manage the life cycle of the Firm’s data including proper data locations, security controls, and destruction of data per policy.
  • Conduct annual audits to ensure the Firm’s data is properly stored and secured.
  • Keep abreast on federal and state laws related to the Firm and update policies accordingly
  • Provide backup to other critical security positions as necessary.
  • Work with the rest of the security team in the planning, development, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of cyber security strategies, policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Firm’s IT resources and data.
  • Project manage strategic initiatives, to include planning, scheduling, scope management, risk management, issue management, execution, financial management, resource management, communications, and benefits tracking.
  • Participate and lead change management activity as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate standards (i.e. project methodology, solution delivery and operational norms) are followed, as well as follow and improve standard PMO processes.
  • Additional responsibilities as identified.
  • The position may require adjustment to their standard work schedule to meet the requirements of this position.
The qualifications:
  • Three or more years of experience with cybersecurity activities primarily related to risk, compliance, and data management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information and Computer Technology, Information Security, or related area from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • Having an earned security audit or risk related credential/certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge & experience in the following will help you stand out:
    • Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
    • Project management tools & effective organizational skills
    • Automation related to risk, compliance and data management is a plus
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.  Must be able to communicate effectively with technology staff, practice staff, and management.
  • Ability to work as an independent, productive, responsible, self-motivated individual in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to assess the business impact of issues, prioritize them, and act to rectify
